Gemma Multi by Maharam - Unicorn
This is Gemma Multi, a woven then felted, wool-blend upholstery fabric designed by Sander Lak and produced by Maharam, in the color Unicorn. The reversible fabric is primarily a gorgeous, evergreen color on one side and primarily a muted lilac on the other. The fabric is mid to heavyweight and there’s no backing or finish, which means this one is a great fabric for upcycling into a garment such as a cape or cloak.
The fiber content is 85% wool, 15% nylon and it’s incredibly durable (100,000 Martindale). The nylon makes this material very soft, so this is a great choice if you love wool but typically find it to have a little too much texture.
