Basel by Kvadrat - Color 189
This is Basel by Scandinavian textile producer Kvadrat in color 189. This is a sophisticated, lightweight upholstery fabric with tiny, raised white dots on a black ground. The fiber content is 90% new worsted wool and 10% nylon. This is certainly durable enough for upholstery uses (it’s rated at 50,000 Martindale) but the weight also works well for curtains and other home decor uses. The texture is created by the raised dots more than from the wool fibers.
